YELLOWS have added a second Ladysmead friendly to their pre-season schedule, with Weston-super-Mare set to visit the Ian Moorcroft Stadium in July.

The Seagulls, who finished mid-table in National League South last season, fly into Tiverton on Saturday, July 20 for a 3pm kick-off.

Strong links exist between the two sides, with Weston assistant manager Scott Rogers having been a familiar figure on the pitch and in the dug-out at the IMS, and Seagulls defender Bailey Kempster and striker Alex Fletcher having both spent time on loan to Yellows last season.

The Weston squad could also include ex-Tivvy Supporters' Player of the Year Jordan Bastin and veteran former Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City striker Reuben Reid.

The announcement of another intriguing home pre-season game comes hot on the heels of the news that fellow National League South side Torquay United are to play at Ladysmead on Saturday, August 3.

The encounter between Yellows and Weston comes very close to exactly 16 years to the day the last met at the IMS in a pre-season game: on Friday, July 18, 2008, Tivvy triumphed 2-0 thanks to a double from Jamie Densham.
