IN what must be one of the most frustrating seasons for Yellows' fans, our home Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South match against Dorchester Town has been postponed for the FOURTH time.
The latest attempt to play the match at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium was rearranged for Tuesday, March 19, only for the pitch to fail a late lunchtime pitch inspection. No new date has yet been fixed.
The game was first down to be played on New Year's Day but fell victim to the weather, as did the initial rearrangement, on February 20.
Third time was not lucky, as last week's attempt to get the match on was hit again by the rain.
Once again, our sincere thanks go to our volunteer groundstaff and supporters, who have teamed up while it has been teeming down to strive to give manager Leigh Robinson and his players a playable surface.
This week's encounter was meant to be the first of seven home games out of Tivvy's final ten fixtures before the season ends in April.
The next is on Saturday, against Hanwell Town, kick off 3pm.
Weather permitting....
