AT TIVERTON TOWN FC

Dylan Jones

The versatile Welshman first came to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium in the summer of 2022 following spells with Hereford – with whom he reached the FA Trophy final – Salisbury, Cinderford and Merthyr, and has since made 79 appearances and scored eight goals in two campaigns.


Signed as a wide attacker, Dylan, 22, ended last season playing out wide in a more defensive role. At youth level, Dylan represented all three South Wales clubs in the EFL, Swansea City, Cardiff City, and Newport County.

Josh Jones

 

Imposing centre-back Josh, 28, has barely missed a game for Town since moving to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium in the summer of 2022. After playing 41 times in his first campaign and 37 in last season’s Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South (when he was twice suspended), Josh committed to a third term at Ladysmead.
 

Prior to coming to Tivvy, Josh had spent five seasons with Larkhall Athletic. He has also played for Clevedon Town and Cribbs.

Calum Thomas

 

The 19-year-old central defender returned to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium following his release by Torquay United, from whom he spent a six-game loan spell with the Yellows last season.


Centre-back Calum arrived at Ladysmead in March this year and contributed significantly to Town’s Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South survival, featuring in successive wins in his first three starts, which included two clean sheets.
Calum came through the Gulls’ Academy and captained the United youth team and turned professional before last season.

Niall Thompson

 

Niall, 30, has been nigh-on an ever-present for Tivvy since moving to Ladysmead in the summer of 2021 following six seasons at Truro City. The former Torquay United youth player made 47 appearances in his first campaign, scoring 10 goals, and added a further 43 matches and three goals to that haul last season.

 

Right-sided player Niall made 21 EFL appearances with Torquay, during which time he also had loan spells at Worcester City, Weymouth, Bideford and Truro, where, for a short time, he played under current Yellows’ boss Leigh Robinson.

Kyle Anderson

Kyle joins the Yellows after impressing in the back line during a series of pre-season trial matches this summer.

 

The brave and quick defender who is also comfortable on the ball spent last season with Pitching In Southern League Division One South Yate Town - who we visit on Monday, July 29 - after joining the Bluebells from Keynsham.

 

Prior to that, he had spells at Paulton Rovers and North Leigh. He also trialled at Bath City in 2021.

Sam Gleeson

Under-18 defender Sam’s impressive displays in the build-up to the 2024-25 campaign have seen him promoted to the senior squad. He made his first-team debut as a substitute towards the end of the previous campaign.

Sam is currently out on loan at Western League side Wellington AFC and made his Yellows first team debut in the Devon St. Lukes 3-0 win at Axminster Town recently.​​​​​​​

Michael Baker

Left-sided centre-back Mike Baker arrived at Ladysmead earlier this season from Yate Town.
 

The experienced and combative Baker is a former team-mate of captain Matt Britton and Josh Jones in their Larkhall days. Baker was also with Frome Town and briefly at Hungerford in the previous campaign.​​​​​​​

Bailey Kempster

 

Defender Bailey Kempster returned to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium on loan from Weston-super-Mare in October. Bailey played 14 times for Tivvy on loan spell from the Seagulls last
season, having joined Weston in the summer of 2019 as part of the club’s partnership with Weston College, and he went on to score four goals in 16 games for the under-19s during 2019-2020. His form for the youth team saw him rewarded with a first-team debut in the Southern League.

He joined Southern League Division One South side Willand Rovers on loan for a month in September 2020, which was then extended in October 2020. The following season, made 33 appearances for Willand scoring five goals, either side of playing in the Somerset Premier Cup for Weston. In 2022, he joined Willand Rovers on loan for a fourth time, made 29 appearances with three goals and again turning out for Weston in the Somerset Premier Cup.
