Work in Progress

YELLOWS' manager Leigh Robinson believes there is much more to come from his players after they got their season up and running in midweek.

Tivvy bounced back from an opening day 6-0 humbling at Merthyr to draw 1-1 with Dorchester at Ladysmead on Tuesday.

In his programme notes for this Saturday's home clash with newly-promoted Chertsey Town, Leigh said Yellows were "under a lot of pressure after the Merthyr result and I thought the players responded really well."

He did, however, admit that "the football we played was still quite a long way away from where we want to get to" and that everyone at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium was working hard to reach that point and urged supporters to keep the faith.

He said: "We're at the start of a cycle here and trying to build. It likely won't happen very quickly, so please understand where we are...and support us best you can."

Tickets for Saturday's game - for home and away fans - are available on line from www.tivertontownfc.co.uk/matchdaytickets.
