IN another foundational move for the new season, Tiverton Town have appointed Wally Burke as joint-Club President, alongside the long-serving Gavin Haig.
Wally, a four-time Mayor of Tiverton with half a century of public service behind him, is, of course, no stranger to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium with stints as Vice-Chairman and Vice-President during his many years connection with the club.
Tivvy Chairman Ian Moorcroft said: "We are delighted that Wally will be supporting Gavin in a pivotal role at the club. We can only benefit richly from his experience, wisdom and passion for the Yellows."
