TIVVY manager Rob Dray is backing his Yellows to bounce back from their midweek defeat at Marlow.
The team travels for the second time in a week on Saturday, when they face mid-table Pitching In Southern League Premier South rivals Hanwell on Saturday.
Rob admitted the 2-1 loss in Buckingham- -shire was “very disappointing”, with his eyes on taking three points from the division’s bottom side, but knows there is still plenty to play for in the remainder of the campaign.
He said: “The league table didn't change much. It just means we’ve got to go and find another one of the wins that we targeted from somebody else.”
“It’s a little bit indicative of where we are; we can be a little bit hot and cold.”
Rob believes that this season’s fixtures have not worked out kindly for Yellows, with a 330-mile, five-and-a-half-hour midweek round-trip to Marlow for part-timer footballers playing into the hands of the hosts.
“It was always a difficult job, regardless of the league table,” he said. “When you play them midweek away on a Tuesday night, the odds change massively. If we play them on a Saturday, it's a different game again. We play them at home on the last game of season, and that’s another game again.
“We all had to drive; I've got my van loaded with the kit. The preparation for any midweek game is very, very difficult.”
