This One's a Keeper

Updated: Jun 12

TIVERTON manager Leigh Robinson will be hoping that he has solved Town's somewhat problematic goalkeeping position with the signing of Joel Manning.

Joel comes to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium after a season spent largely at Melksham, with whom he was dual registered by Chippenham Town from where he has now been released.

The 6ft 6in 20-year-old has an interesting pedigree, having been involved with the Academies of Southampton and both Bristol-based EFL clubs, City and Rovers, as well as playing for Cheltenham Town's Player Pathway Programme team that consists of scholars in an educational setting.

He tasted league and cup success with Chippenham's Academy before being co-registered with Melksham.

Last season, Tiverton used five different goalkeepers, four of whom were borrowed from other clubs: Josey Casa-Grande, Mike Searle, Lewis Williams and Ollie Saunders all pulled on the gloves before Leigh brought some stability to the back line by borrowing young Zak Baker from Plymouth Argyle.

The hope is that Joel will provide a similar strong foundation for the Yellows' 2024-25 Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South campaign.

Welcome to the IMS, Joel.

Joel Manning is available for sponsorship for the 2024-25 season. If you would like to sponsor him, or for further details, please email chairman@tivertontownfc.co.uk
