STORM Darragh put paid to a debut for new Yellows' signing Toby Down when Saturday's Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South game at Marlow was postponed.
With the safety of supporters and players paramount, the super high velocity winds that accompanied the storm made a postponement the only option.
Manager Rob Dray will now look at readying former Taunton defender Toby for next Saturday's home encounter with high flying AFC Totton to play his part in a back line riven with injuries and suspensions.
Rob said: "It was imperative to get a centre-back in the door, with the lack of defenders in the squad.
"Toby ticks all the boxes that we required - he is experienced, two-footed and, most importantly, he is a great character. I am grateful to the board for backing us in his signing."
