More the Merrier

YELLOWS' Under-18s turned it on after half-time to beat Elmore 5-0 at Ladysmead.

Charlie Syvret gave them a 1-0 lead at the break after being set up by Will Findlay in a scrappy first-half punctuated.

Second-half goals from Elis Aldrich (2), Dawson Payne and Harrison Jordan saw them stretch away in 45 minutes of dominant fast-flowing football in which Harrison Jordan and Jack Trevelyan were a constant threat on the wings.

Dan Wilson was solid at centre back, after coming on at half time, and Kamil Wojtowicz showed his class at left-back, helping captain Riley Davis and his team keep a clean sheet.

Goalkeepers Aston Keen and Jaq Sussex also put in good performances.

Player of the match was Max Metherell, who was solid throughout and provided a masterclass in showing how simple football can look so good.
