Jerry's All Yellow

TALENTED Bristol Rovers midfielder Jerry Lawrence has joined Tiverton Town on loan.

The 18-year-old, who is in his second year as a professional at the Memorial Stadium, is held in high regard by the Pirates, and by Tivvy interim manager Richard Pears.

Richard said: “Jerry is the type of player that I want to bring to this club – he’s hungry and determined to do well and is a natural hard worker that will give his all every time he plays.

“He will give us extra quality in the midfield as this has been an area where we have not had any consistency because of injuries and suspensions.”

Jerry came through the junior ranks at Rovers and was voted as the club’s Academy Player of the Year for 2021-22.

He has already made a first-team appearance for the Gas, as a substitute on the opening day of the last Sky Bet League One season, after which he joined Tivvy's Pitching In Southern League Premier South rivals Salisbury on loan.

He made seven appearances for the Whites, scoring once, before returning to the Mem.

Welcome to the IMS, Jerry.
