TIVERTON Town manager Leigh Robinson and his assistant Ben Gerring are looking forward to 2024 after an “enjoyable” opening two months in the home dug-out.
In a Christmas message to Yellows’ supporters, Leigh said he and Ben are grateful for the reception that they have experienced since taking charge of Tivvy in early November. Following their appointment, Yellows have won three and drawn three of their eight Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South games.
That significant upturn in fortunes gives real hope that the second half of the campaign, which starts with a Boxing Day Devon Derby at Plymouth Parkway, can see Tivvy make further steady progress.
Leigh said: “From myself and Ben to all the valued fans, volunteers and all associated with Tiverton Town Football Club, we wish you all a merry Christmas.
“Thanks so much for welcoming us to the club and making our first two months a really enjoyable experience.
“I genuinely hope that, as a group, we, along with the players, can provide you with a team to be excited by and proud of in 2024.
“Hopefully see plenty of you on Boxing Day in Plymouth, where your support as always, is hugely appreciated.”
Consolidation for the remainder of this season and build for 24/25! Merry Christmas all 👍
