TIVVY have signed young striker Dan Koita to boost their ambitions of moving away from the wrong end of the Pitching in Southern League Premier Division South.
Dan, 23, who began his football career at nearby Elmore, is tall, athletic and quick – all the attributes required of a front man – and joins the Yellows from South West Peninsula League Okehampton Argyle.
He has been in prolific form for the Okes, having racked up 14 goals before Christmas.
He joined Argyle from Tavistock after returning to Tavi from league rivals Willand Rovers in May 2023, having previously made the reverse journey in October 2022.
He was originally signed by Tavi manager Stuart Henderson from Peninsula League Crediton United after an eye-catching display in a 4-4 friendly draw with Plymouth Parkway in September 2021.
He had been Crediton’s leading goalscorer before taking up the offer from Tavistock, having come through the ranks at Elmore, progressing to the first team from the Under-18s.
