Baker Does

YOUNG Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper Zak Baker has joined Yellows on loan from the Sky Bet Championship club.

Cornish teenager Zak, a first-year professional at Home Park, has come through the Pilgrims' ranks since joining the club's Academy at the age of 12.

Although he is yet to make his first-team bow for the Greens, he played as a substitute in Argyle's opening two pre-season games of 2023-24, against Hearts during a training camp in Spain, and Plymouth Parkway.

A former pupil of Pool Academy in Redruth, Baker, now 18, attended the Cornwall Centre of Excellence in St Stephen.

He played for West Cornwall Schools at Under-13, Under-14 and Under-15 levels and represented the Argyle Academy in the Northern Ireland Super Cups of 2018 and 2019.
