YELLOWS have signed defender Bailey Kempster on loan from Weston-super-Mare.

Bailey, 20, goes straight in the Town squad for Saturday's game against Hendon at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium.

The left-back comes to Ladysmead for a month following a season-long loan at Southern League Division One South Willand Rovers, during which he made 29 appearances and scored three goals.

He began his football career with the North Somerset Regional Talent Centre from the age of 11 through to the age of 16, with his final year including scoring two goals in five games for Clevedon Under-18s in the Western Counties Floodlight League Premier Division.

He joined Weston in the summer of 2019 as part of a partnership with Weston College, and he went on to score four goals in 16 games for the Under-19s during 2019-2020. His form for the youth team saw him rewarded with a first-team debut in the Southern League as a late substitute in the 1-0 win over Walton Casuals in February 2020.

Bailey joined Willand Rovers for the first of five loan spells in September 2020, which was then extended in October 2020. He made nine appearances, scored one goal and assisted one before the season was curtailed.

In September 2021, he returned to Willand on a loan that was extended for the season, during which he made 33 appearances, scored five goals and assisted one. He was also recalled early by Weston in February to feature in the 2-1 Somerset Premier Cup defeat to Frome Town.

In September 2022, he joined Willand on loan again, and again featured for Weston in the Somerset Premier Cup.

Welcome to Tiverton, Bailey.
